No one knows exactly what happened to Lukid in the summer of 2010, but anyone close to him will tell you that this is when the changes started to become apparent. The silences, the distant stares, the increasingly more pronounced facial tic, the kicking of things. Yes, the happy young beat-crooner that his friends and family had grown to know and love had vanished in the twitch of an eye, and in his place stood a colder, angrier, flinchierer Lukid.
This change in temperament was clearly mirrored in Lukid's musical output. The sounds now reverberating from his Tannoys were undoubtedly the work of a mind trapped in a tundra. No more summery pads, no more apologetic kick drums. The sun had set on this young mans midi keyboard. Summer was over. The ice age was here.
It was at this point that GLUM decided to sign him.
